One star is being generous. BEWARE. This place has a history of keeping deposits so no, you will not get your deposit back. I needed a temporary place while I worked in this area for a couple of months. My apt was cleaned top to bottom when I left, but they charged me for carpet cleaning and painting when I left this apartment in better condition than I received it. And luxury? What a joke! The "shingles" of every building are flying off the roof and this place is showing its age badly. The walls are super thin I could hear my neighbor snore every night and there is always someone playing loud music. The office barely answers the phone and all the employees have attitudes. I mean just flat out rude people. I have NEVER rented from such a greedy, "we don't give a damn" place, but choices are slim in Guymon and they know it. Be careful when dealing with this shady, money grubbing place.
I relocated here for a job after separating from the Army. Never rented before In my life and this place was the only place I could find prior to moving that wasn't low income(I couldn't legally live in low income). I paid my $350 deposit 3 weeks before moving to Guymon because I needed an apartment secured for me upon arrival. I arrived and the apartment they gave me was under a full renovation everything was torn apart such as toilets etc. My wife and I didn't sign a lease because it was also CRAWLING with cockroaches that seem to have been straight from Joe's Apartment! We left and found better places to live at the Guymon chamber of commerce. They are fighting to refund my deposit (I didn't sign ANYTHING remember?) and I'm still waiting on these clowns to pay me. On a positive note the maintenance men were very helpful and understanding of my situation but it was the management that completely kills the whole situation. Their lack of planning screwed me by putting me in a bad apartment when they had 2 others completely ready and clean on "reserve" (Did I mention I'm still fighting for my deposit from them?) a rattlesnake with a "pet me" sign is 100 times more trustworthy than these clowns.
I really have had a great experience living here at Apache Trace. Any time I have ever lived in any other rentals here in Guymon I have always had problems with the land lords not fixing major issues in the homes, but at Apache Trace their maintenance staff is on top of things. another service I really enjoy is the monthly pest control sprayings to insure spiders, beetles,etc..... stay far away from my apartment! I have never been part of a apartment complex that is this much involved in the community, and care about the youth. case and point. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a fair priced rental.
Seriously people go to the chamber of commerce there are plenty of good honest non low income places to live here in Guymon, they just aren't all over the internet like apache trace is!
I have just moved from Ardmore Oklahoma to an apartment that I had never seen, I did all my application on line and via phone. I called the manager and he walked my through the process and assured me that my new apartment home would be in great condition , I arrived with a Budget truck and found my home perfect. It was clean and smelled fresh, I am so happy here, I waited to reply 30 days after moving in, I am so pleased and the staff here is great. 5 Stars from this resident. NP, I am attaching photos of the wonderful activity that Apache Trace had for the kids' of our community.
I have looked at a lot of places here and find that this community is far the better value for the rent charged. I will be moving here in the future.
